1. Interview with H先生 went well, I thought; around 4: 25 I sort of stood around awkwardly in front of her door, wondering if I should knock or wait until 4:30. Anyway, she turned out to be very sweet, with slightly eccentric hair (like a very tame Asian version of Ms. C's), and we started out with small talk in Japanese before she started asking me interview questions, still in Japanese. Oohh, tricky. I started to answer, hesitated, and then asked if I could continue in English. So we did the interview in English, except that if I hadn't asked/hadn't known that I could've switched to English then that interview would have been about 10x harder. Also she didn't tell me I could switch, she just went on with the conversation like normal. Baby, I so was onto you.

2. I just signed up for my first math class in college. This will be the first math class I've taken since I was 16. 16! Thank you, CAPA, I always knew you'd come back to hurt me some day. Let's see if I still remember how to, like, add and subtract and read numbers and stuff. And more stuff.
(On the other hand, the teacher seems sweet. She's offered to help me catch up on the last week, God knows I'll need it.)

3. I explain what an independent study is to M:
