He was a cold person, she said. He didn't tolerate any mistakes.
Like your dad, she'd added. Your dad's cold like that.
I think I'm a cold person. My dad used to tell me I had a cold heart, but this may have just been his amateur medical opinion of why my hands are freezing and, Appa, it's not that my heart is suspended in ice, it's that I have poor circulation.

i have poor blood circulation too. you know what that means.
